My First Estate Sale!

I have been hooked on a show called Cash & Cari. For those who have not seen it, it is about repurposed items and estate sales. The other day I happened to look up estate sales in my area and found a great website http://www.estatesales.net/. They have photos of some of the items and I was intrigued. One in particular caught my eye, so I decided to go check it out. It felt so weird combing through a strangers home. The house was in need of major updating, and was chock full of antiques. In one of the photos I saw a canister set for flour, sugar, etc. I thought it would be great for my sewing notions. Of course it was gone by the time I got there, but I did manage to find another set and some really neat things!

I found this 1950's tin canister set

Vintage aprons with the tags still attached!

Yards and yards of fabric!

I am now hooked on finding more of these estate sales! It is addictive! Enjoy the weekend everyone!

  1. Artist Showcase

The Showcase will begin August 10th and run through August 21st. This is not an auction or a giveaway. This is a chance for us to show our best work and try generating new clients. This is an invitation only showcase, that way we won’t be competing against each other. Each vendor can submit 3-5 items of their choosing to be showcased. Show your best work. We are all very talented…let’s show them what we can do. I just ask that you promote the showcase on your business page. There will be a little contest going. The vendor with the most likes will win a prize (to be determined before showcase begins) and I will offer a prize to visitors that like their favorite pieces with a random drawing after the showcase ends. If you would like to donate a prize for either of these, please let me know. If you would like to be a part of the showcase, here is what I need from you:

3-5 Pictures of your work with a description.
Feel free to add a short bio or what inspired your piece
    A link to your page

I look forward to showing of our work!!!

    Thank you,
    Amy Watson
