Sand Sculptures

My sister and I went for a drive to Salisbury Beach, MA to get some pizza at Christy's (famous place up at the beach.) I was surprised to see 5 sand sculptures there. All of them had a dog theme to them, and of course they had to throw in some Bruins!! Yay champs!

Globemaster Alliums

On my walk into work each day, I pass through the Rose Kennedy Greenway in Boston-http://www.rosekennedygreenway.org/index.php . It is a beautiful space made up of several open landscaped areas. Each has its own design and feel. It is such a pleasure to see it change with the seasons. New this year are these giant Globemaster Alliums. They are literally the size of basketballs! I remembered to bring in my camera to capture their beauty-

Rainy weekend

My goal this weekend was to buy and plant tomatoes. I got up early and bought them, but then the sky opened up! It rained ALL day. Needless to say, the plants are now hanging out on my front porch. Tomorrow does not look so hot either! Hopefully, I can get them in the ground soon. With extra time on my hands, I went on over to Festival on the Lake in Wakefield, MA. A friend of mine was braving the rain in her tent filled with fabulous art. You can find her here- http://www.etsy.com/shop/DianaSironi . Below some photos of the rainy event.

I can only hope tomorrow brings a moment or two of no rain, so I can get to planting! Until then, thanks for stopping by!
